3 Ingredient Mask for Softer Hair

As a person who has pretty dry hair, I've gotten into the habit of putting a little oil on my hair before I wash it. I put it about through about half way down my hair. Starting from the chin down and rubbing it into the ends. When I do, I usually just use one ingredient, olive oil, coconut oil (most likely), or avocado oil. I don't really think it matters that much which you choose, but more that you're doing something to protect your hair before washing it.

The problem with putting oil all over my hair is that it just doesn't distribute that well and it can be hard to wash out. And I think there are some ingredients that feel better on my scalp, like aloe, which is calming. Both honey and aloe are good for exfoliating dry skin, while also moisturizing. Same goes for your scalp, plus these two ingredients distribute a lot easier than the oil alone.

Here's what you'll need:

  • 2 Tablespoons of honey
  • 2 Tablespoons of aloe vera
  • 2 Tablespoons of coconut oil

Directions:

  • Mix all ingredients well.
  • Apply from the scalp to the ends.
  • Leave on for 30+ minutes.
  • Shampoo out.
