Lime + Salt Beach Wave Spray with Ingredients to Lighten Hair

If you're like me, you're on the never-ending quest to get natural highlights. I like to add a little lightening power every time I do a hair treatment, if it's practical and it'll actually work that is. This Beach Wave Spray is the best of both worlds, not only do honey and lime pack the lightning power, but also work as a gentle hairspray.

Honey contains naturally occurring peroxide that lightens hair. Lime juice contains the citric acid that also lightens hair. They both contains bits of sugar to give a bit of hold. Throw in some coconut oil to soften and you're good to go. You'll also smell like a tropical island, that's a bonus.

Here's what you'll need:

Directions:

  • First, dissolve your salt in the lime juice. This will make life easier all around and keep it from clogging your spray nozzle.
  • Then you can mix together all ingredients.
  • Funnel them into a spray bottle and you're done.
  • Shake the bottle before using it to make sure all the ingredients are distributed.

I've used this mix on dry, wet, and damp hair. I like it best on damp, because it comes out the most natural looking. If you want it extra curly, use it on dry hair.
